Sobisco is entirely a family owned closely held enterprise with Shri Kailash Chand Agarwal as the founder director. Although the beginnings have been modest, the journey and the subsequent success have made it all worthwhile. Shri K.C. Agarwal's over 40 year association with biscuits commenced in 1967 when he primarily started trading and supplying raw material to Britannia Foods. Over the years, various biscuit brands 1982- Bhagwati Biscuits, 1987- Monarck Biscuits, 1989- Swadist Biscuits, 1992 Sobisco, 2000- an automated confectionary plant under the Dinesh Brand and 2006- Ashirvad were brought to fruitation entirely under his direction. Our association with India's premier Biscuit Brand, Britannia, still continues, with the factory in Nagpur entirely devoted to the implementation of contract manufacturing for Britannia. Another remarkable offshoot of this association has been Mr. A.K. Ghosh, a 30 year chief chemist of Britannia who joined their management team as Technical Director in the year 2000.
